19th Century Turkish Oushak Carpet
How rare is an old gold field? A geometric version of the all-over Harshang (crab) pattern is symmetrically laid out with accents in goldenrod, ecru and salmon, all on the abrashed ground. The salmon border features radiating octofoils and deeply serrated curved leaves. The rams’ horn reciprocal inner and outer minors provide definitive closures. An outstanding color accent to any room.
