Early 20th Century American Navajo Carpet
This rare small carpet format Navajo piece has a light grey natural wool field covered by serrated and similarly drawn, nested lozenges and chevroned triangles, detailed in red., black and ecru. The central red pinched double lozenges are flanked by laterally joined charcoal tall lozenges. Charcoal border serrated along the sides and a plain red inner stripe. Well-balanced, dynamic design. Excellent condition.
