1930s American Two Grey Hills Navajo Carpet

Antique Navajo rug with a black color background design and size 5'4" x 7'10". This earth-tone and black Southwestern Native American scatter is an unusually toned piece from the desirable Two Grey Hills group, whose design is adapted from antique Caucasian scatters. A stepped, angular cream Meander on light camel frames the oatmeal field with an emphatic nested, stepped and hooked vertically stretched lozenge medallion with supporting small stepped black triangles. Rare and striking palette. Fine condition.
