Kirman #19816

Kerman rug designers were the first to violate the strict field/border division convention in the interwar period. This long city rug from southeast Persia has an ivory field with a dense coverage of flowers, leaves and vines within surging, totally fantastic, color sectioned borders. There are no minors, just an intricate, broad surround in shades of blue.Like almost all Kermans, this carpet was woven for the American market, clearly a special order.
