Chinese #22069
This is a very rare color sampler rug from the virtually unknown Tuck Zung Factory in Shanghai. Almost all Chinese carpet weaving was in the north in Peking(Beijing) or Tientsin(Tianjin). Coins in the corners and leafy, bending sprays on the sides are the border decoration. The overall tonality is blue except for the color samples in the center..Not to everyone’s taste, but an important document for the study, of 1920’s Chinese carpet weaving
