Structural analysis:
Warp: cotton, off-white, natural, Z-4-S;
Weft: cotton, off-white, natural, Z-2,3-S two shoots alternating, wefts compacted;
Pile: wool, Z-4;
Knot: PL/no alternate warp depression/horizontal 7 x vertical 7 = 49 per square inch, made in two sections and joined across centre so that pile goes in two directions, closely woven, erect pile;
Wefts/knots ratio: 30/70, partial roes of knot bulge and fatness on verso.
