Two plush ivory sofas that invite us for intimate conversation, offer clean balance with their sleek art deco lines and large, soft, texturally appealing cushions. Throw pillows offer a simple juxtaposition between the two – on one side solids, the other high contrast patterns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flanking the sides of this conversation circular and square forms pair off in opposition – dark vs light. The deep green of the chairs, and their accompanying “leafy” throws, call to the treetops beyond, pulling the natural element inside. Meanwhile, the cubic stools play with texture and form in uniquely structural ways<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The heavy stone table central to this sophisticated ensemble grounds the conversation, and the strong earthy tone of the Chinese deco carpet below solidifies this grounding. A colorful floral display within the blue border has a distinctly Chinese edge that draws upon the excitement of the art deco movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the dining room, bamboo stalks wave upon a stark black ground carpet, dancing with the calligraphic art on the wall in a song of tradition, while modern furniture sits engaged in this historical rhythm. A continued layering of circular forms bring us from the floor up – each slice solidifying a sense of unity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The subtle warmth of the space glows with a softness like the fading pink of a pastel sky. This warmth is emphasized by the fragmented light of the crystal chandelier above, it’s golden luminescence sparkling within reflective surfaces around. These hues are captured in the bamboo stalks upon the carpet, pairing excellently with all of the accompaniments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
