Early 20th Century English Edwardian Axminster Carpet
The brilliant orange-red of this very late Victorian carpet - Early Edwardian displays floral sprays in lighter orange with a lacy, broken border with poppies in the corners and centering two sides. The design looks like a velvet textile. Just the thing for anyone with a space in a 19th century style. As with Axminsters generally, the handle is heavy and the pile is dense and very long wearing.
